On July 24th at 8:27pm the newest member of my family, Eisley Maya, was born. Naturally, she’s perfect 🙂
It is still early on, but on the first night home my getting no sleep was my own doing (constantly checking to ensure she was still breathing) as she was calmly sleeping.
She’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see what adventures she’ll bring me.

Update: Ok, immediately after this blog entry Eisley decided that she would actively keep us up all night.

Welcome to fatherhood, she does look perfect. Try and remember what sleep was like, it’s easy to forget when you don’t get any. Although totally worth it, I’d say your daughter has about 14 years before she has to worry about my son. 😉

Hilariously… Rachel’s dad won. So I was like “well that’s not really fair… we should go to the next time down”. The winner there was… her mom.

Hi Josh,
Congratulations!!!!! She is soo beautiful. And I really liked the picture where you were holding her and at the same time doing something related to work. She looked so adorable, and she didn’t care the way you were holding her, she just slept so comfortably. Not enough words to explain that picture :-).
